Adjusted everything depending on what I was training for, worked me hard every week, very flexible around my work routine, and we always had a laugh. Most memorable was when I had no childcare so I brought my child along and Lisa found things for us both to do that were challenging and fun, didn't bat an eyelid. Good combo of strength and cardio, mixed it up when it needed to be and I looked forward to our sessions every week. Have trained with a few trainers and stuck with Lisa as she always listened to what I was trying to achieve, and supported me in it, politely telling me I might be misjudged, whilst helping me get there. As someone in my fifties whose primary goal is sustainable health and fitness maintenance I appreciate that Lisa meets me exactly where I am. As a former kickboxing champion I know she can go way harder but she’s excellent at providing the necessary push without demanding I try to be "super buff." Our weekly session is the perfect way to ensure I maintain a consistent fitness schedule. Thanks to Lisa I am a convert to kettlebells, and the kickboxing drills are surprisingly fun and a fantastic stress reliever. Plus Lisa has an eclectic range of interests outside of fitness so we never run out of things to talk about. (Though I have noticed she tends to bring up a topic that gets me fired up just before we start the boxing…) If you're looking for a highly skilled, engaging, and genuinely encouraging trainer who understands that fitness is about longevity and consistency, not just brute strength, Lisa is the one. She came to my house and when the weather was good we trained in the garden. Lisa was very aware of my health issues and tailored a programme around my specific needs. I have felt so much fitter since we started training together. My aerobic fitness has improved along with my upper body strength. I also wanted to do something different and I like feeling as though I've worked hard - hence the attraction to the kick boxing aspect ! Lisa makes training fun whilst making me work hard. Once we had established that the injury was fully healed, the gloves were off ( or on !). Strength and fitness improved almost straight away.
